Error in chemistry is defined as a scientific matter that is invalid, as well as a scientific situation that is invalid. Such definitions are quite useful for me, because I work with science all the time and I have been successful with them.The thing is, I need to define an error in chemistry first, because I have already talked about it a few times. I have stated that, in chemistry we use the rules and the formula to define what is correct or incorrect. This is important for the practice of science, and to some extent, to the understanding of how science works. But if you consider another perspective, and the relationship between mathematical models and scientific theory, then you will see that, in both cases, the rules and the formulas are rather useless, and sometimes, actually detrimental.For example, take the term 'harmonic'. In the so-called elementary school, we used this term to describe that a particular piece of music is full of harmonic structure, so that the musical part is harmonically complete.We do not know how to define harmonic problems, and they are not part of current mathematics. As an alternative, let us talk about what 'harmonic is' and why it is such a big problem.If we compare current mathematics with the technique of music, we see that, the mathematical part has a kind of harmonic structure. There are many different scales, which give rise to different harmonic structures. And this is not something that we can derive from a logical concept, such as prime number.The fact is, in recent years, music has gained a lot of popularity, and its complexity is regarded as a challenge to the mathematical model. When we talk about such a scale, it is useful to use simple terms and represent it by a single note, but what actually happens in nature, is that, we get scales that lead to many notes, each one different from all the others.The same thing has h appened with the development of the math scale, and this was also in recent years. And it is now, in the 21st century, when this has become a hindrance to science, because it tends to confuse the reality with a mathematical model.
